UL Safety Labels

Product Overview

UL969 is the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standard for the safety and durability of labels intended for long-term use on products. Ordinary labels may peel, fade, or become illegible over time; UL969 certification helps ensure labels stay attached and remain readable.

Products exported to North America—especially appliances, machinery, and industrial equipment—typically require appearance labels that meet UL969 requirements.

Product Features

UL969 labeling systems undergo multiple tests to confirm long-term durability and safety.

  • Adhesion testing: ensures labels do not peel or lift.
  • Print durability: text and barcodes resist fading and stay clear and legible.
  • High/low temperature and abrasion resistance: withstands high-temperature processes and long-term friction.
